2000 Dodge Viper GTS

Arguably sporting one of the best logos affixed to an automobile, the Viper was first introduced to the public in 1989 at the North American Auto Show under the Chrysler name — designed to emulate Carroll Shelby's Cobra. Gen 2 arrived in late 1996 with the brand-new GTS Coupe body style, power upgraded to 450 HP, and a chassis weight reduction through more aluminum suspension components, allowing engineers to add airbags, air-conditioning, a CD sound system, power windows, and power locks. The coupe body was stiffer and far more aerodynamic, and the 1996 Viper was, at the time, the fastest Dodge ever produced.

The Grand Rapids Classics Auto Museum is proud to display this attractive 2000 Dodge Viper GTS Coupe finished in Viper Red over a fine black leather interior. Built at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit, Michigan, this Viper is a highly original and unmodified example — 1 of just 936 GTS units built in 2000 and 1 of just 111 GTS stripe delete examples ordered new. It sits on 18-inch chrome 5-wide spoke wheels wrapped in like-new Nitto tires.

3 seconds at 118 mph. This Viper is accompanied by a clean CarFax Report, its original manuals and books, and has amazingly covered less than 15,000 miles since new — a true time capsule example.
