1967 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible

The 1967 Chevrolet Camaro marked Chevrolet's bold entry into the burgeoning pony car market, created in direct response to the runaway success of the Ford Mustang. Introduced in September 1966, the Camaro was built on the brand-new F-body platform. Its name, famously chosen from a French dictionary meaning 'comrade' or 'friend,' reflected Chevrolet's desire to create a car that would connect with drivers on a personal level.

Acquired by the Grand Rapids Classics Auto Museum in August 2025 from the 55th Annual Auburn Auction & Show, this first-year Camaro has been tastefully upgraded in all the right spots. Finished in a smooth red with a white power soft top, its iconic stance is complete with 15-inch American Racing Torq wheels wrapped in Silvertown Radial red line tires. The cabin features Pearl White vinyl bucket seats, matching door inserts, red carpet, a wood steering wheel, air-conditioning, an upgraded radio, and a middle console with a Hurst manual shifter.
