1963 Austin-Healey 3000 Mark II BJ7 Convertible

The Austin-Healey 3000 made its debut in 1959 as the successor to the Austin-Healey 100-6. By late August 1962, the traditional roadster models were succeeded by the well-appointed Austin-Healey 3000 Mark II BJ7 Convertible — a true convertible model with 2+2 seating, a new wraparound windshield, wind-up side windows, swiveling vent windows, and a quick-folding soft top. A proud recipient of a complete nut-and-bolt restoration, this charming 1963 Austin-Healey 3000 Mark II Convertible is documented by photos and per the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate on file.

Originally completed at the factory on May 16th, 1963, and delivered on May 31, 1963, to a dealer in Iceland, this Mark II eventually found its way to the States and resided in California with the same owner for close to 40 years. Meticulously restored to factory-correct standards and finished in its original duotone colors of Healey Blue and Ivory White, it is fitted with 15-inch chrome knock-off wire-spoke wheels wrapped in new Dunlop SP Sport tires, a heater, cigar lighter, adjustable steering column, and USA specification headlamps. 9-litre twin-carb inline six-cylinder engine and all mechanical components were all meticulously restored.
