1957 Buick Special Riviera

The second-generation Buick Specials were introduced in 1949 and became Buick's first fully designed series of the postwar era. By 1957, the bodies had been redesigned — most notably going from four VentiPorts to three on the sides of the fenders — and the '50s decade of flashy chrome and 'finned' cars was in full swing. Benefiting from a complete and extensive restoration, the swooping body lines, scalloped front fenders, and wonderful chrome pieces were brought to a beautiful finish.

The body is painted a two-tone color scheme of red and white and sits on chrome wire wheels with knock-off center caps. The red and white cloth interior was upgraded to a period-correct red and white vinyl interior, and a newer AM/FM 'period appearance' Buick brand stereo was installed. Mechanically, this Buick Special is everything one could want from the '50s — equipped with power steering and power brakes, with power coming from Buick's signature Nailhead 364 V-8 engine producing 250 horsepower, paired to the optional two-speed Dynaflow automatic transmission.

The entire car has been detailed including the undercarriage, which is very clean and presents nicely.
