1956 Messerschmitt KR200

During World War II, Messerschmitt was prohibited from producing aircraft for ten years per war sanctions. Their facilities were repurposed to produce the Messerschmitt Kabinenroller, or 'Cabin Scooter,' under the design and leadership of aircraft engineer Fritz Fend. Powered by efficient Fichtel & Sachs engines, the Messerschmitt could reach speeds of up to 62 mph while offering excellent fuel economy — an ideal solution for post-war consumers needing practical and affordable transportation.

Previously part of a Michigan microcar collection for 30 years, well-known automotive enthusiast and Tucker expert Mark Lieberman took ownership in 2023 and commenced a complete tune-up in 2024 before the Grand Rapids Classics Auto Museum took ownership. The tune-up included a complete engine service, new whitewall tires, new battery, new ignition parts, and a new clear bubble top. This well-presented example is also equipped with several rare options: front and rear impact bars, an AM radio, clock, and convenient sunshade.
