1965 Shelby 427 S/C Cobra

Shelby realized early on that winning wasn't the only thing that mattered — speed with style while winning was his trademark. Before the Cobra was ever a thought, Carroll Shelby was racing around the globe for Aston Martin, Austin-Healey, and Maserati. The small-town chicken farmer who found fortune on the track would later be sidelined due to a heart condition and turn his focus to building racecars — the outcome being the Shelby Cobra and leading the project of the dominant GT40 that dethroned Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Don't call it a replica — these CSX4000-series cars are continuation Cobras with CSX chassis numbers, built by Shelby, who shrewdly saw a gap in the market below the super-collectible original Cobras but above the dozens of different kits and replicas. Unlike kits and replicas, the CSX4000-series cars are collectible in their own right and continue to rise in value. This particular Cobra packs a serious punch under the hood with a 650-horsepower 427 cubic-inch V-8 Shelby engine combined with a Tremec 600 series five-speed manual transmission, producing a 0-to-60 time in under 4 seconds.

Finished in Intense Blue Pearlcoat with painted Cobra LeMans stripes, it rides on 15-inch original-style aluminum pin drive wheels. To make it even more special, the glove box has been signed by the legend himself, Mr. Carroll Shelby.
