1932 Oldsmobile F-32 Convertible Roadster

Rare — 1 of only 333 examples built in a year when automobile sales dropped over 50% due to the Great Depression. This Convertible Roadster, also known as the six-wire wheel Convertible Roadster, came with many firsts for Oldsmobile: an automatic choke, throttle advance, a decarbonizer, double-action shock absorbers, and freewheeling. Having been with the same owner for 17 years before the Grand Rapids Classics Auto Museum acquired it, this car underwent an extensive five-year nut-and-bolt body-off-frame restoration guided by an original sales brochure.

The body was coated in a bright Altura Green with Laurel Green fenders and red wire-spoke wheels. The tan convertible top with landau bars was meticulously fitted, and the fine dark brown faux leather upholstery was sourced using original factory patterns. It scored a near-perfect 999 out of 1,000 at the Oldsmobile Club of America Meet, then went on to capture Best of Class and Best Restored Car at the Detroit Autorama.
