About This Vehicle
Long before 1924, when Walter P. Chrysler established his own automotive concern, he came with plenty of positive history — from General Manager of Buick to President of General Motors. This 1932 Imperial CH Eight Coupe is 1 of only 239 assembled that year, each fitted with Floating Power engine mounts, Free Wheeling transmission, and Oilite squeak-proof springs.
The body was designed by Ralph Roberts of the LeBaron design team. Once owned by Joe Morgan, a leading expert in Chrysler Imperials, it received a beautiful body-off-the-frame restoration before passing to prominent Pennsylvania collector Bill Spiko. Acquired by the Grand Rapids Classics Auto Museum in the spring of 2022.
Finished in gleaming black with ivory pinstriping, gray flannel roof, and fine gray wool broadcloth interior. Today it proudly displays the Premier Senior First Prize badge from the Classic Car Club of America and the Senior National First badge from the Antique Automobile Club of America.
